Ritz Carlton Dwarka — twin-room mockup, original vs. custom.
Parallel guest-room mockups built side by side — original spec lighting on one, our customized build on the other. Walkthrough decided the rollout.
The brief: prove parity with original spec, then exceed it.
Ritz Carlton had a fully specified lighting package for the Dwarka property. Before committing to a customized build with us, the brand wanted to see — in person, in an actual room — whether our execution could match what they had on paper.
Two identical rooms. One with the original spec lighting installed. The second with our customized alternative. The walkthrough would decide the rollout.
Match the original — in light quality, not just fixture shape.
Room lighting is a layered problem. Bedside sconces, reading task, ambient ceiling, bathroom accent, dressing — each layer has to feel right individually and balance against the others.
Matching a spec is not about copying a fixture. It's about matching what the room feels like when a guest opens the door at 9pm. Dimming curves, colour temperature, beam spread and shadow fall all had to read identically — while still being built from our supply chain.
Five weeks from joint review to brand sign-off.
Joint spec review with Ritz Carlton
Fixture list, finish specs and dimming requirements reviewed with the brand lighting consultant and the Uppal Group site team.
Parallel build in factory
Both room sets built simultaneously — original-spec room for reference, customized room with our alternatives. Both tested under identical dimming conditions.
In-room walkthrough
Joint walkthrough with the Ritz Carlton team and Uppal Group at the Dwarka site. Both rooms lit under evening, morning and service conditions.
Approved for full rollout
Customized spec signed off. Protocol now used as the standard mockup template for subsequent Ritz Carlton properties.

The technical detail.
Every project is documented to this level at handover — specs, finishes, electrical, AMC terms.
"The brand wasn't asking whether we could build. They were asking whether we could build to a level they'd be comfortable handing their guests. Two rooms answered that in a single afternoon."Project Lead · Ritz Carlton Dwarka
